FOOTBALL LOVERS!! Do You Think Think Senegal Deserve The AFCON 2021 Trophy or Not?

Last night was a joyous moment for the Teranga Lions, as they defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, and of course, liftlifted trophy for the very first time in history.

It was a battle between Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, as they went head to head in the Africa Cup of Nations final last night, Sunday 6th Feb 2022.

Sadio Mane scored the winning spot-kick as Senegal claimed a first ever Africa Cup of Nations title with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over seven-time winners Egypt following a 0-0 draw in the decider in Yaounde on Sunday.

Come to think of it, Egypt are the most successful team in the AFCON winners list, claiming the title seven times, including a hat-trick between 2006 and 2010.

Also, they have finished runners-up on two occasions (1962 and 2017) and third thrice (1963, 1970 and 1974).

But then, some people argued that Senegal  doesn’t deserve the trophy, that Egypt merited it. Do you think so?
