Sex Worker Found Dead In Onitsha Brothel, Neighbour Claims She Committed Suicide

A Suspected commercial sex worker, on Monday died in a hotel along an old market road in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The deceased, simply identified as Chisom from Enugu State, was said to have died after washing plates with which she ate on Sunday night.

Controversy however has trailed the cause of her death with the brothel deserted by neighbours and occupants, mostly sex workers.

While some said she hanged herself in her hotel room, others said she might have been strangled to death by an early caller over a financial disagreement while another version alleged she took poison and died.

A neighbour, who does not want to be mentioned in print, alleged the deceased committed suicide on hearing that her lover-boy has dumped her for another woman.

She said: “She had a boyfriend that always spent a lot of money on her. Even this last Christmas the boy came to her with a bag of rice with #200,000, among other items and asked her to travel for Christmas and come back later.

“As soon as she came back, she was told that her boyfriend had married. Since then she started behaving abnormally and just three days ago, she was seen holding a rope in her hand.

“When asked why she was holding the rope she became aggressive and early in the morning, she swept her room and around 9 am what we heard was that she has committed suicide in her room.

“We saw her neck tied with a rope to the window in her room but the legs were touching the floor. So we don’t know if it was suicide as no foam was gushing out from her mouth but the tongue was out.”

sympathizers were seen attempting to gain access to the hotel to have a glimpse of the corpse while some of the sex workers were hurriedly moving out with their belongings for fear of being arrested.

Operatives from Onitsha Area Police Command, close to the scene of the incident, visited the hotel around 12.30 pm and left with some officials of the hotel, who returned with an ambulance and took the corpse away.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga said investigation has commenced.

No suicide note was found in the room to suspect suicide. We’re exploring all options to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death,” he said.

Buhari Was Not Attacked In Kano – Tinubu Blasts PDP

AD:-Please Grow, Visit Our Blog Channel and start earning up to N500 Daily ( Joshualoaded.com.ng )

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has dismissed speculations by opposition political parties that miscreants attacked President Muhammadu Buhari during his Kano visit on Monday.

Tinubu said Buhari was warmly received in Kano, contrary to speculations by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking through his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described the alleged attack on Buhari as ‘fake news’ from PDP.

He said the attack on Buhari must have happened only in the mind of PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba.

Ologunagba had linked the attack on Buhari to Tinubu.

He said the attack on Buhari was treasonable and a sacrilegious assault on national sovereignty.

However, Tinubu said the attack was imagination in the “evil mind” of PDP’s spokesperson.

A statement by Onanuga reads partly: “We are not surprised to read of the imaginary attack on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria being peddled by the PDP since the party has nothing tangible to tell Nigerians from its crumbling presidential campaign.

“This so-called attack on Buhari must have happened only in the fertile imagination of the PDP National Publicity Secretary.

“Buhari was warmly received in Kano State by the good people and government of the state where he commissioned eight hugely impactful projects

AD:-Please Grow, Visit Our Blog Channel and start earning up to N500 Daily ( Joshualoaded.com.ng )

It’s easy to fall into habits that seem harmless, but over time they can have a terrible outcome on our physical health, mental health, and life in general.

Here are a few things that you may be doing on a regular basis that are slowly killing you and if you don’t stop them or reduce them to the barest minimum, you can blame yourself in the end because the outcome will be disastrous.

Today, we listed out 7 things that can slowly kill you or make your life be in shambles.

Let’s go πŸ‘‡

1. Taking Too Much Alcoholic Drinks

Taking too much alcoholic drinks can have serious negative effects on your physical and mental health.

Consuming too much alcohol on a regular basis can lead to liver damage, increased risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, cognitive decline, and weakened immune system.

It’s important to be mindful of how much alcohol you’re consuming and to drink in moderation. If you’re struggling with alcohol addiction, it’s important to seek help and support.

Remember that drinking too much alcohol can lead to a host of health issues and it’s never too late to make a change for the better.

2. Smoking Weed/Cigarettes

Smoking cigarettes and weed can have serious negative effects on your health.

Smoking can lead to a host of lung and respiratory problems, including lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.

Smoking and weed use can also increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Additionally, smoking can cause serious damage to your teeth and gums, and both smoking and weed use can have negative effects on your mental health, including anxiety and depression.

It’s important to be aware of the risks associated with smoking. Remember that quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health and yourself in general.

3. Eating Mostly Processed Foods

Processed foods are often high in added sugars, saturated fats, and sodium, which can contribute to weight gain, heart disease, and other chronic health conditions.

Processed foods often lack essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs to function properly.

Eating a diet high in processed foods can also increase your risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain types of cancer.

It’s important to be mindful of the amount of processed foods you are consuming and to make an effort to eat more whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. This will help you get all the essential nutrients your body needs to function properly, and will reduce your risk of chronic diseases.

4. Depriving Yourself of Enough Sleep

Depriving yourself of enough sleep can have severe negative effects on your overall health and well-being. Not getting enough sleep can lead to a host of physical and mental health issues that can affect your daily life.

Not getting enough sleep can increase your risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body is not able to fully repair and rejuvenate itself, which can lead to a host of health problems. Your body needs sleep to function properly and to help you maintain a healthy balance of hormones and chemicals that help regulate your body’s functions.

It’s important to make sure you’re getting enough sleep each night and to prioritize your sleep for a better overall health.

Developing good sleep habits, such as avoiding caffeine and electronics before bedtime, creating a comfortable sleeping environment, and developing a consistent sleep schedule can help improve your sleep quality.

5. Sleeping Around Without Protection

Not using protection during sexual activity puts you at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies.

STIs, such as HIVHerpesChlamydia, and Gonorrhea, can have serious long-term health consequences if left untreated. They can cause infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and in some cases, even cancer. Additionally, having unprotected sex can also put you at risk of unintended pregnancies, which can have emotional and financial consequences.

Moreover, not using protection during sexual activity can also negatively affect your emotional well-being. The fear of contracting an STI or unintended pregnancy can cause stress and anxiety. If you do contract an STI, it can also lead to feelings of guilt and shame.

It’s important to practice safe sex by always using protection during sexual activity. Condoms can greatly reduce the risk of STIs and unintended pregnancies.

6. Eating Too Much Sugary Food

Consuming too much sugar can lead to weight gain and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.

Added sugars are found in many processed foods and drinks, such as soft drinks, candy, cakes, and cookies, and can be hidden in many foods that you might not expect, such as breakfast cereals, condiments, and even some types of bread.

Consuming too much sugar can cause your blood sugar level to spike, leading to increased insulin resistance, which can cause weight gain and increase your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Additionally, consuming too much sugar can also increase your risk of heart disease. Eating a diet high in added sugars can lead to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and inflammation, which are all major risk factors for heart disease.

7. Gambling/Sports Betting

When gambling becomes a problem, it can lead to financial difficulties, strained relationships, and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and even suicide.

Firstly, gambling can lead to financial difficulties, as people may spend more money than they can afford to lose, and they may even resort to illegal activities to support their habit. This can lead to debt, and even bankruptcy, as well as strain on personal relationships and loss of assets.

Gambling can also have a negative impact on mental health. The high of winning can be addictive and people may chase the feeling of winning, leading to excessive gambling which can lead to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and even suicide.

Additionally, people who gamble may also be more likely to experience problems with substance abuse.

Conclusion

By making small changes to your lifestyle and breaking these bad habits, you can become a better person in life and also improve your overall health and well-being.

Remember that it’s never too late to make a change, and you will live a better life thereafter.

Thank you for reading, we πŸ’— you!!!
