The TECNO PHANTOM V FOLD pulled off a surprising victory for the Best Foldable of the MWC. Its opponent, the Honor Magic Vs, held the lead for a few days before Tecno’s first foldable jumped ahead. The TECNO PHANTOM V FOLD will be the world's first foldable smartphone to be powered by MediaTek Flagship Chipset Dimensity 9000+.

The Honor Magic5 Pro won the title Best Flagship of the MWC with a wide margin. It managed to edge out the Realme GT3 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which were nearly tied for second place. The vanilla Magic5 wasn’t nearly as popular, but it was well ahead of the vanilla Xiaomi 13.

Finally, TCL swept the competition in the Best Entry-Level segment as it secured the Top 3 with the TCL 40 XL, 40 X and 40 XE. This is an interesting result as the TCL 40-series will be available in the US, a market starved for cheap phones. But it was the 4G-only XL model that came out on top, the 5G-connected X and XE were left slightly behind.

Customers Groan As Banks Exhaust Old, New Naira Notes

AD:-Please Grow, Visit Our Blog Channel and start earning up to N500 Daily ( Joshualoaded.com.ng )

Banking halls, ATMs deserted •We’re expecting fresh supplies, say DMBs

Despite the reintroduction of old N200 naira notes into circulation, commercial banks in Abuja are still having a hectic time meeting customers’ cash needs as many of them claim to have run out of supplies.

Consequently, the banking halls of many banks and their ATMs are completely deserted.

Anxious customers now spend a chunk of their work hours scouting for a few bank branches and ATMs that will disburse the new naira notes.

Many also lay siege to banks as early as 4am to pick numbers and return later to queue for cash.

Checks by Daily Sun reveal that some of the banks pay as little as N2,000 per customer as against the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directives of N20,000 daily payouts across the counter.

Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) visited on Tuesday did not accept or disburse the old N500 and N1,000 notes, though a few of them did so on Monday.

Sources said the banks were treading softly on the old N500 and N1,000 notes that were recently resurrected by the Supreme Court, since the apex bank has not officially communicated to them on the next line of action.

At the Fidelity Bank, Kubwa, Abuja, a teller clerk said: We’re not taking or issuing old N500 and N1,000 notes. It’s just the N200 and the new notes”.

At another Fidelity Bank branch adjacent Sahad Stores at the Central Business District, customers were paid N7,000 across the counter.

Polaris Bank in Gwarinpa was literally non-operational as officials claim to be expecting cash from the CBN for onward disbursement to customers.

Stanbic IBTC bank on Ralph Shodeinde Street, CBD, neither accepted nor disbursed the old N500 and N1,000 notes.

However, the bank’s ATMs dispensed N10,000 to each customer, resulting in long queues around there.

At Zenith Bank along the same street as Stanbic, there was no cash for disbursement, just as the ATMs were dry. A staff member said the branch was expecting some fresh cash supply from the apex bank.

Many bank customers, especially Point of Sales operators, lamented the endless horror Nigerians were subjected to as the hunt for cash gets fiercer.

Okoli Janet, a PoS operator lamented: “I thought they said the naira scarcity was to ensure vote buyers don’t get access to cash to disrupt the presidential election. So, what is happening? The elections are over but the cash crunch is not. In fact, it’s worse right now”.

Another customer, Bashir Ali said: “I’m a trader and I need cash. The mobile apps are not working. Network issue. Nothing is working. This is a dangerous situation. They should do something about these new naira notes”, he groaned.

It was also gathered that there was serious cash mop up by politicians ahead of the Guber elections on Saturday.

The Supreme Court in its ruling last Friday, extended the validity of the old naira notes to December 31.

Since then, there has been confusion as the Presidency and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) kept mum over the matter.

Although the CBN was not a party to the suit by State Governors challenging the naira redesign policy, legal experts say the apex bank would need an approval from President Muhammadu Buhari to determine its next line of action, as matters of currency change need presidential nods to fly.

Sanwo-Olu, suspends campaign, orders flag to fly at half mast, minister, others mourn

The Federal Government, FG, has directed the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) experts to commence immediate investigation into the early morning Thursday accident which involved a moving train operated by the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, ramming into a Lagos State Government staff bus at Shogunle and Ikeja, axis of the state, killing at least six persons, while 80 sustained various degrees of injuries.

The ill-fated bus with Lagos registration number; 04A- 48LA, number 33, was heading to Alausa, Ikeja from Isolo, and in the processing of beating other motorists at the PWD rail crossing, Shogunle, collided with an oncoming train. It was carrying several passengers, majorly civil servants, and some dependants. Two persons died on the spot while four others died in the hospital. There were 42 moderately-injured persons, 29 serious injuries and eight mild injuries. 25 persons have been treated and transferred to Gbagada General Hospital, Agege General Hospital and trauma centre at toll gate.

FG, commiserated with the state government and residents, especially, those who have lost their loved ones, on the sad event, and prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu, in swift response, expressed deep shock and sorrow over the unfortunate incident.

Sanwo-Olu, later, declared a three day mourning and directed flags to fly at half-mast and civil servants work half day tomorrow (Friday).

Speaking at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, when he visited to assess the situation and commiserated with victims, also cancelled all public engagements and campaigns.

Sanwo-Olu said: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the accident. The vehicle was conveying staff of the Lagos State Government, our staff who serve the state in different capacities.

“Let’s say a prayer for the families and a prayer of mercy and protection for our state.

“My thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.”

“My thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.”

“This is a very sober time for us as a government, and while we acknowledge God as the giver of life, the one who determines every man’s destiny, it saddens when we have incidents like this.

“The fatal accident happened at the rail crossing around PWD in the Shogunle area. I believe they were coming from the express and needed a right turn, and wanted to drag over the rail.

“It is not yet clear what happened, but it seems like a wrong judgement by the driver. I also learnt he has turned himself to the police, and so investigations will determine what actually went wrong. We would also reach out to the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) to give their own account of what transpired so we can have full information.

“We haven’t informed any family members yet because these are civil servants that were going to work so we cannot begin to disclose names until when families have been contacted.

“Of the number of injured persons, 25 were treated very quickly an transferred to the Gbagada General Hospital, Agege General Hospital and the trauma centre at toll gate so this place can be decongested and proper profiling of injuries can be done.

“There will be half day of work tomorrow (today) so we can jointly mourn our staff, our loved ones, and the dead can be buried. Flags will also fly at half mast for the next three days, and we are also declaring a three-day state mourning for the deceased.”

Sanwo-Olu, commended residents who assisted the first responders in the search and rescue operation, saying the true spirit of Lagos must be sustained at all times.

He commended the first responders, LASUTH and LASUCOM staffs and security agencies for their prompt response.

“A big thank you to well meaning Lagosians who immediately joined in rescue efforts. Our first responders and emergency services are on ground and we will share more information shortly,” he said.

Sanmwo-Olu hails Jandor, Rhodes-Vivoour for visiting victims

The governor, also commended candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jide Adeniran and Labour Party, LP, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour for visiting and commiserating with the families, saying ‘it is important to thank two of my other competitors – Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Mr Olajide Adeniran, who I learnt were here earlier, for their show of commitment beyond politics. I thank them for coming here.”

Fact Check: Did Obi Win 19 States In February 25 Presidential Election?

AD:-Please Grow, Visit Our Blog Channel and start earning up to N500 Daily ( Joshualoaded.com.ng )

INEC's IReV Portal Showed Peter Obi Did Not Win 2023 Presidential Election in 19 States- Report

According to a fact-checking organisation, Dubawa, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, did not win in 19 states during the February 25 election.

Dubawa said its findings are based on data on the Independent National Electoral Commission's result-viewing platform.

The fact-checking organisation disclosed that the trending claim that Obi won 19 states in the poll was misleading.

The report read in part, "DUBAWA visited the INEC’s result viewing portal. As of the time of filing this report at 05:47 pm on March 7, 2023, only results from 164,233 polling units have been uploaded on the IREV portal representing 92.87% of the total 176,846 polling units.

"This means the results of 12,613 polling units nationwide had yet to be uploaded on the IReV portal.

"It is, therefore, misleading to dismiss the result announced by INEC and claim that Mr Obi won 19 states, including the FCT.

"Also, the result uploaded by a Facebook user, Mazi Chiemena Samuel, which showed Labour Party’s victory in about 18 states, including the FCT, is not from the IReV portal. Instead, it is a report from a poll conducted by Nextier on January 27, 2023."

Dear Friends, i would like to know if it is normal or I am being paranoid. while we were dating i noticed that my now wife does not really like sex as we hardly do the act.

She was good in other areas so, I felt with time things will sort itself out.

After the marriage, I made it known to her clearly that I will want to have the sex as much as i desire but i must say for about three months now, we have only had it about ten times. I do not want to cheat on her but my needs are not met and I have told her this times and times again with no change.

Now, she is pregnant and it is worse. What do I do my people?
