Adedamola Adefolahan professionally known as Fireboy DML got signed to YBNL Nation, a record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide.

His debut studio album “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps” was released in 2019 and the album was tagged as one the best debut albums ever in Nigeria.

With numerous awards in his bag already, Fireboy has been having a tremendous career. His hit song “Peru” peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, and number one on UK Afrobeats Singles Chart. The song eventually spent 22 consecutive weeks in the top 10, tying “Shape of You” and “Bad Habits” as Ed Sheeran‘s longest-charting songs in the top 10. That’s huge guys!!

On 2 December 2021, it was named on Apple Music Top Songs of 2021, in Nigeria. “Peru” is Fireboy‘s most popular record with over 20.6 million Spotify streams as of December 2021. As of today, the song has over 200 million streams on Spotify. The song is also 2x Brit certified platinum amongst other awards.

Let’s move from “Peru” now, Fireboy DML in 3 years now has over 3 billion-plus career streams!!

No one can boast of this in his set, and even most of the big guys in the game cannot, including his label boss Olamide if we are being honest.
