HIP HOP LOVERS!! Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Hip-Hop In Nigeria, The Artistes Or The Fans?

Whether you agree with me or not, hip hop is dead in Nigeria or let me say its about to die off completely. The so called Hip TV plays Nigerian rap songs once a blue moon.

The Nigerian music industry is growing to astronomical heights but one of it components, hip-hop, is on the flipflop motion. The industry is growing increasingly afropop monopolized as other music genres, but hip-hop particularly suffers near ostracism.

Imagine Rick Ross came to Nigeria without linking up with fellow rappers? Something is wrong! Hip-hop is dead in Nigeria. And if you ask me Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Hip-Hop In Nigeria, I would put the blame on the fans/listeners.

Actually, rap music is not for everyone, definitely not for this present day Nigerians. You need a certain level of intelligence to enjoy rap music and I’m sorry to say this, larger part of  Nigerian music lovers don’t have such intelligence. New research finds a connection between intelligence and rap songs. People that listen to and hype Portable’s kinda songs cant understand or enjoy hip-hop.

I also blame rappers. They are so archaic. I will suggest they should focus on afropop and leave rap the fvck alone. I drop my pen.
