No time, where’s the future of Blogging driving to?

Is it SEO or Paid traffic (Arbitration)

I have done both and everytime I want to choose one over the other— people who’s really making a kill in it say it’s like blo od money,

As a blogger of over 12 years, building Waploaded .com, Waptutors Academy and several other blogs, I have some facts about this.

Sometimes, I scroll through platforms, learning from both the BIG and the Small,

how wonderfully these things has transmogrified

and how easy it now appears as more industries are unlocked for it.

Yeah oo!

Same blogging, but this time applying what marketers and big companies do, in a small scale but fairly big results.

What’s Arbitration?

I shall explain this in layman’s terms so everyone can be carried along,

Pay attentiveness before you setup your next blog.

So many have kicked against it that it causes segregated form of blogging because ordinary with just a blog set up and a ready blogger (you) that should be all to setup something profitable while you leave your fate in the hands of Google search,

But what they don’t know is,

These are same strategies applied by big corporations, individuals and marketing experts to grow businesses, like grow businesses really FAST, then why can’t it be applie here?

Say, you sell a product of N10,000, cost of making it is N5,000 on each sale you make you get profit of N5,000

Then instead of relying on Organic sales and referrals, you infuse paid traffic (arbitration),

You spend N10,000 on ads and 10 people buys that product, you make N100,000 out of which N50,000 is your profit for selling the product,

Then you minus the cost of your ads which is N10,000 and you are left with an ROAS of 4X

*ROAS - Return on Ads spent

Isn’t this faster?

Well, I know you are thinking about “What if people do not buy”

In blogging, that’s not your thing to worry, as soon as people land your webpages and interact with the ads on your page— you get your earnings.

It’s like selling same product without any cost of extra N5000 for producing the product, no cost of shipping and no hidden cost asides from the ads spent cost.

This is the new oil - you might want to read the above layman’s explanation again to grab the full picture.

So, here’s my advice for you.

As an aspiring blogger, who wants to hit the ground running,

- You need a Blog with a Profitable niche
- An Adsense account to earn on the blog
- Sending paid traffic to the blog

*Niche- the category you want your blog to talk about.

However, it’s not really as easy as I have just listed the 3 key things above,

But, it’s achievable, at the second quarter of this year, I released a few course about it on Waptutors Academy covering the 3 and how to bank and reuse these traffic.

Now,

For Arbitration to work successfully,

You need a niche that the audience you would be advertising to yearns for its content plus there are big advertisers in that niche with deep pockets ready to spend the money.

Plus, you have to know who your targets are; men, women, youths or everyone, what country? Nigeria, Asia, general Africans or tier 1 countries.

The country selected also needs to have high CPC for that niche.

*CPC - Cost per click, what you earn when ads on your blog is clicked and interacted with.

Let me give you a random idea about what I mean,

Let’s say, you build a blog around cheap hotels,

Particularly, cheap Hotels in Qatar,

Then your ads and blog posts says “Book Cheap Hotels for Qatar worldcup”

You shall both have viewers who wants to know about cheap hotel and are also interested in the world cup,

Now, a lot of hotels there (Qatar) would have a huge advertising budget on Google Adwords since they’d be ready to beat competitors- your website In-turn serves high CPC standard ads,

Based on your targeting, you may get high influx of users trooping into your blog to get cheap hotel or anything.

Note: The above is just an example. Might not be a good venture but to explain the whole concept.

I hope you get the picture to some extent?

You don’t just set up a blog because you want to be a blogger!

You have to ask a few questions..

- Who are my target audience?
- Where are they and how do I send them to my blog?
- What does my target audience want from my blog?
- Can I easily monetize them with a high CPC via Adsense?

*Adsense- a platform where bloggers earn from their website. It’s the most popular and recommended way easier than others.

I am writing this because,

Day in day out,

A lot of people ask me the popular question “How can I become a blogger” or “Teach me Blogging”.

I know this process and the blogging thing is constantly taking newer turns by the day as people keep seeing what a wide group of people deeply seek and then blog about it,

I know it’s a continuous learning process for both my self and others,

But to y’all newbies, you have to understand some basic things lest you waste your time blogging about what authority blogs has dominated.
