Sometimes, visitors or guests overstay their welcome and it becomes difficult to tell them to leave.

Even the most kind hosts occasionally have guests who overstay their welcome. When a friend stays at your house for an extended period of time, it’s natural to want to let them know it’s time to depart without offending or straining the friendship. You may make enforcing your boundaries less unpleasant by confidently giving the message that the situation itself compels them to go.

Not every friend or family member makes a nice house guest, and it might be embarrassing to have to decline their overnight visit.

I think the best solution is usually polite and empathetic honesty.

Consider what thoughts or sensations come to mind when you think about their visit for a moment. Do you feel belittled, overwhelmed, or worried? The high road will always be taking responsibility for and owning your situation.
