Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho has been finally released by the Beninese Government.
However, according his counsel, Mr Yomi Alliyu, SAN, he was released to attend to health in a Benese hospital. In other words, he was released on health grounds.
“Igboho has not been released, he was only released to be taken to the hospital. The last time we spoke, I told you that we are making arrangements to take care of his health. So, he was released based on health grounds.”Alliyu said.
Igboho, who escaped from a deadly raid on his Ibadan residence by the operatives of the Department of State Service on July 1, 2021, was arrested in Benin Republic on his way to Germany on July 19 together with his wife, Ropo.
