I Hope Jorginho Wins Ballon D’Or 2021 Ahead Of Messi – Chiellini

Juventus defender, Giorgio Chiellini, has backed his national team-mate Jorginho to win the Ballon d’Or.

Chiellini is set to face Jorginho’s Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Ahead of the match, the Italian centre back praised Jorginho, who lifted both the Champions League and Euro 2020 trophies this year.

The midfielder is one of the favourites to win the Ballon D’Or along with Lionel Messi.

But Chiellini told a press conference:

“I hope he will be able to win, he is a good friend of mine. It’s an award that would feel like it was mine.

“He was involved in a win and emotions that will always be in our hearts.

“I’ve always thought he was a good player but after the first few training sessions, I realised how good he is, what a top player he is.”
