Rivers is unarguably one of the richest states in Nigeria, having generated ₦140 billion in 2019. The state is situated in the South-South region. It covers an area of 11,077 km with a population of 5.2 million people. Kaduna is the first state from the Northern region to make the list of the richest state in Nigeria in 2020. Located in the Northern West part of Nigeria, Kaduna state covers a surface area of 46,053 km², thus making it the 4th state with the largest surface area.
